Eat like a king at Smiths Luau Kauai!

When arriving to Smiths Luau Kauai, make sure to get there early to explore the maintained and manicured gardens that encompass over 30 acres. Take a walk along the meandering path or join the narrated tram tour of the property. Check out the bamboo forest, a must for any new Hawaiian visitor. See how 20 different types of fruit trees grow including famous macadamia nuts, breadfruit, jack fruit and star fruit. View the tropical flowers in bloom and find a quiet, tranquil moment among the gardens.
When you’re feeling relaxed and at ease, it’s time to head over to the luau grounds. Smiths Luau Kauai has prepared an incredible pa’ina feast! Watch the careful unveiling of the Kalua pork. A pig has been delicately wrapped in ti leaves and placed in an underground oven known as an imu. The slow roasting makes for a truly mouthwatering meal. Also enjoy the family recipe teriyaki beef, fresh fish and chicken adobo. Sample the local favorites and traditions with poi, purple sweet potatoes, mac salad, and the tangy namasu salad. Make sure to save room for dessert!
Enjoy beverages from the open bar including beer, wine and mai tais. As the sun goes down, prepare for the show in Pele’s Amphitheater. Be swept away with the song and dance as the entertainment tours Polynesia. Learn about the culture of the islands with Hawaiian chants and song. Keep an eye on the hands of the performers in the signature dance of Hawaii, the hula. And of course, no luau night would be complete without the show stopping excitement of the Samoan fire knife dancers.
