Aulii Luau Kauai is the island’s only oceanfront luau.

Spend a lovely evening being delighted by the family run Aulii Luau. Enjoy the gentle breeze, swaying palm trees and swinging hips of the island’s finest hula dancers. Enjoy food, drinks, smiles and friendship. Set along the Ocean Lawn at the beautiful Sheraton Poipu, this is Kauai’s only oceanfront luau experience. Picture the dancers perfectly poised, with the sunset and ocean as their natural backdrop. This is what perfect Hawaiian nights are made of.

The buffet is plentiful and includes local, authentic dishes from Polynesia. Start your evening with light appetizers of roasted sweet potatoes, Hawaiian chips, garlic edamame and a local pick – Hawaiian chili pepper water beef jerky. Enjoy mai tais, beer, wine and soft drinks from the open bar. A range of salads, poke and Lomi Lomi salmon prepare you for the main entrées. Sample island fresh fish in a lemon caper butter sauce. Try the Huli Huli chicken. Partake in the staple of any luau feast with Kalua pig and cabbage. Don’t miss the grilled beef with sides of sticky rice and taro rolls. Save room for dessert!

Enjoy the vibrant, high-energy show from the perfect seat on the Ocean Lawn. Local Kauai resident Mi Nei Oliver-Martins creates and directs an impressive show! It shares stories with you that are deeply rooted in Polynesian culture. The myths and legends come to life as they are conveyed through music and dance. See how the first Polynesians came across the ocean by outrigger canoe, navigating only by the sky. Experience the dance of Pele, an ancient and traditional Hawaiian hula. Honor the splendor of the islands as the dancers pay tribute to lands they call home. Become wistful upon watching the Hollywood style of the hula. It was romanticized in films in the 1950’s, really bringing Hawaii into the homes and hearts of many Americans. As the sun sets, the show heats up! The dancers honor the fire throwers of Makana. Marvel at the famous and exciting fire knife dance of Samoa.
