What is HawaiiDiscountActivities.com?
We are an online part of the Boss Frog’s Vacation Network. Boss Frog’s rents snorkel and beach gear out of 13 brick-and-mortar shops on the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai. Boss Frog’s has been in business since 1986, so we know about all the island activities, and we have networked to get you the best deals.
Are my tickets e-mailed to me?
Yes. Your credit card will be charged through PayPal, and we will e-mail your tickets after we process and confirm your order. We process orders daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Hawaii Standard Time. You can also call us or visit us in person at one of our gear rental shops. We have three locations on Kauai, nine on Maui, and one on the Big Island. Our phone number is 1-808-856-4274.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
This depends on the activity vendor’s policy. Typically, most vendors allow refunds and cancellations up until 72 hours before your activity date. Within the 72 hour period, however, they usually charge a fee. No matter when you cancel, we will charge you a 10% processing fee.
When it comes to rescheduling, you can generally do so 24 hours before your activity date, and there is no fee for that.
For specifics on particular activities’ cancellation and rescheduling policies, please call or chat with us online before you buy tickets, so you’ll know what to expect. Our phone number is 1-808-856-4274, and you can chat with us online using the chat box on the lower left of your desktop computer screen.
Do I have to pay any taxes or fees?
Hawaii state law requires that we all pay a 4.166% General Excise Tax for any goods or services, including activities. An additional 3% Harbor Tax applies to ocean activities. Helicopters, boats and some bike tours have fuel surcharges, as well. Before you make your payment, you will see all those fees, and they are included in your final purchase price.
Do you offer other activities that are not found on this site?
Certainly! We offer hundreds of activities all over the state. We list our specials and the most popular activities here. If you are looking for something specific that you haven’t found here, give us a call, chat with us online, or visit us when you’re here! We have three locations on Kauai, nine on Maui, and one on the Big Island, and our phone number is 1-808-856-4274.
I want to do a snorkel cruise, but some of the people I’m with haven’t snorkeled before. Do you provide instruction?
Yes! All of the snorkel cruises that we offer teach a “Snorkel 101” class on the boat. Jump into the class, then jump into the most beautiful waters around and have fun!
Are your tours safe for children, seniors, and people with special needs?
Yes, for the most part, all of our tours are safe and fun. Some tours do have safety restrictions when it comes to height, weight, back and joint issues, recent surgeries, and/or pregnancy. If you have any special requirements or conditions, please call our concierge to ask. We can access each tour’s information to help you choose the most fun and comfortable activities for your entire group. Call us at 1-808-856-4274 for more information.
When is the best time to do boat trips and helicopter rides?
Typically, island trade winds pick up between 12:00 and 2:00 pm and last throughout the day. We usually recommend going on the morning snorkel cruises, because that is when the water is most beautiful and calm. The same is true for helicopter tours; when the winds aren’t blowing, the ride will be much smoother, and the pilot can fly closer to the waterfalls. But if an afternoon tour works best for you, go for it! These tours can be just as much fun later in the day, and we never know what the weather will be like, as it can change very quickly.
I have a rather large group of people in my party. Do I get any additional discounts if I book through you?
Yes! We can cater to almost any size group. We will have to create your whole itinerary first, and then we will get you the best deals on the activities you are requesting. Call us at 1-808-856-4274 for more information.
