Your Kipu Zipline Safari begins with a quick check-in to the Outfitters Kauai office, just north of Poipu on Kauai’s southern side. Here you’ll meet your expert leaders for the day as they brief you on the safety and agenda. Hop into your double kayaks for a leisurely paddle up the Hule’ia River. Learn from the guides about the importance of this land to the Hawaiian people, as well as its history and ecology. If you have any questions, these are the folks to ask! They love to share their knowledge and beauty of the island with visitors.
Approach the riverbanks to be greeted by another trusty guide who will take you on a trek through the rainforest. Along the way you’ll learn about the local animals and plants in this area including taro, coffee and noni. You’ll hike through the rainforest to a hidden swimming hole. Here you’ll have a chance to launch from the rope swing and swim in this picturesque part of the Kauai landscape.
Once you’ve cooled off, you’ll head over to the ziplines! Take on the first line to literally get the hang of what ziplining is all about! Soar through the treetops and end up in their incredible tree house to have lunch. After enjoying your picnic with your small group, the Kipu Zipline Safari takes you on one of Kauai’s longest ziplines, reaching 1800’! You can ride this one side by side! Smile, scream and fly over the canopy for a unique aerial view of the Garden Isle.
Next on the list is everyone’s favorite, the water zip! Hang on tight and then drop into the Blue Pool, the perfect spot for a quick dip. Launch, zip, and then plummet into one of Kauai’s hidden secret gems. When you’re worn out, head back to the riverbank. Take a relaxing ride back up the river to the docks in their powered canoe.
