Departing at 8 am from Port Allen on the Southwestern side of Kauai, your excursion begins as you head north and sightsee along the famed coastline. Ancient lava pinnacles stand like protectors with their misty peaks and sharp crevices. Listen and learn as the captain and crew share their geological knowledge of the area and keep it entertaining with stories and legends of the people that once inhabited these lands.
On the way to your snorkel destination, enjoy a continental breakfast of cinnamon rolls and fresh fruit with coffee, teas, juice and water provided. The Blue Dolphin Kauai makes its snorkel stop along a healthy reef system waiting to be explored. The habitat here is home to a variety of fish and coral and even the friendly green sea turtle. The gracious crew provides all of your snorkel equipment, floatation devices and snorkel instructions. This might even be a great time for you to try out scuba diving! Even beginner divers without certification are welcome as this is a great introductory dive site.
After snorkeling until your heart’s content, you’ll hop back on board for a deli style lunch and the bar is open to quench your thirst with beer, wine and mai tais.
On the way home encounter some of the friendly locals in the waters here, the Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins! These energetic creatures love to show off their moves that gave them their namesake. They actually launch out of the water and spin with their jumps!
